So beautiful! Loved our stay here--gorgeous hike, delightful park rangers, awesome firewood for making our campfire both nights, plus it was unseasonably warm the first night but not the second so we were particularly grateful for the heated bathrooms :)

The generator policy here is terrible. We had a huge fifth wheel pull in and park right next to us and run their super loud generator for eight hours every day. We barely saw these people. they weren't there for the park or for nature, apparently they just wanted to watch TV. the fact that the generator policy allows them to run it till 9 PM in the winter is absolutely insane. Real campers want to have a fire and sit outside but it was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think, either outside or in our camper. if people are too cold and need to run their generator then they should just stay home the first place. I appealed to the host and to the Ranger, but there was nothing they could do because of the bad policy. I've been camping for 30 years and in many ways. This was the worst experience I've ever had.

We were so pleased with our campsite - our 30' Airstream fit in nicely with just a little bit of leveling. The sites that had pull throughs looked very spacious, especially for a National Park. Future reference we would book in that area.

It was a nice campsite, close to the bathrooms and trash bins. That was the negative too, the light from the bathroom was strong, so were the noises from folks dumping trash after midnight. I would recommend pitching the tent more towards the back to help with the light.

Camp sites are near Big Meadows and have trails to Dark Hollow Falls. Trails are easy to follow and often see wildlife near or on them (deer, chipmunks, fox, rabbits, owls). Sites are easy to drive to, and bathrooms are close to walk to. Park Rangers usually are on duty at the entrance to the campsite. It is a nice place Im glad I've been able to visit a couple times now.

everything was magnificent. we understand that the use of generators, even inverters, during the high season harms ambient noise and neighbors. however, it was mid-November, so the nights were cold in the mountains, and use was restricted from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.... that's not much! also the circulation areas are narrow to move back into the location. We have a 25ft Airstream trailer pulled by a Toyota Tundra truck and the backing-up maneuver is perilous.

I love being there when it's so quiet (11/18). The number of deer wandering around out-numbered the people there. My bathroom was clean and warm and I had it all to myself!
