What Guests Are Saying
Pickensville Campground offers spacious, well-maintained sites with a beautiful riverside view, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and outdoor activities like biking. The campground is noted for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and peaceful atmosphere, with many guests expressing a desire to return. While some facilities, like certain bathrooms, show signs of age and there are limited full hookups, ongoing improvements are being made to enhance the overall experience.

The only drawback to Pickensville is the same ole same. No Tv reception. It is a quiet and peaceful place. Fires are nice and mosquitoes are bad. There are very few things to see and no place close to go but if you just want to get away it is the ideal place to meditate or read. Nothing to disrupt or disturb you. Barges are fun to watch.

Site had new red dirt between site and the water and it had rained so it was red mud. Other than that it was good (site 106)

We used to camp here often years ago, but got away from it for a time. Brought back many wonderful memories of our kids and all the fun we had. We were saddened to see that the Corp has taken down two of the three playground sets, and left only the sorriest one. Camping is about KIDS! Bring back the playgrounds! Aside from that, we had a great time! Saw bald eagles on several occasions, even watched one catch a fish twice. Saw a golden eagle as well. Overall, we were well-pleased and plan to go again soon!
