Salthouse Branch Campground is nestled on the shores of Philpott Lake in the rugged foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. The park is located in a rural and sparsely populated part of Franklin County near the small community of Henry. Philpott Lake's clear water and natural shoreline make it a unique place for visitors to enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, picnicking and camping. First time tent camping in many years. Even though it was hot it was most enjoyable and I had a ball. Everyone I contacted and staff were super friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go again. Everything is very clean lots of shade lots to see.

Definitely has became our favorite spot to come!! It’s close to our home! The views are absolutely amazing and the property is super clean!! The swim area in front of our camp site was wonderful. Will be back soon!
