Coon Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with clean facilities, well-maintained campgrounds, and friendly staff. My only complaint is that the power hook up is at the entrance of the site when they are usually at the back corner. I didn't have the proper extension cord so by the time my 16ft camper and SUV parked in front of it my front tires were on the road. Otherwise it was a great site with great views.

Previous years the large garbage cans were in the campground across from the playground which were convenient for everyone camping. Now they are all by the entrance which is much more inconvenient when it’s time to discard the garbage. It would be much more convenient if a couple of dumpsters are placed where they were previously.

Site 158 was located near the water and offered ample shade. Easy set up with plenty of room. Be on the lookout for ticks. Restroom and shower areas were clean well lit. This site was quiet.

The views on the lakefront are amazing! Some sites can reach the lakefront by trails, but it can be treacherous. The public beach is clean and decent size and life vests to borrow while swimming. The bathrooms have actual plumbing with sinks and lights and the shower houses are clean and look nice as well. We had a wonderful weekend full of swimming and fun!
