The park is well maintained. The ranger crew was exceptionally friendly during our stay! Only thing that was a negative was the water level, but not much they can do about that.
If planning a visit, just know it's 30 minutes to town, so come prepared.

I was able to get wifi at the site near the host office, but it was slow. Afternoon shade around 4:30 pm at the site. Campground feels safe due to good ranger presence and a host onsite. Roads into campground have been newly paved. I always enjoy my time here.

Paid for 2 nights only stayed 1. People shooting near our campsite, gutting rabbits near our site, loud music after 10 pm, showers, bathrooms very dirty. Shower nozzle clogged hard to rinse off

This site was PERFECT for my husband, 2 year old daughter and I. The roads to get there are being worked on so they’re not up to par but that did not stop the great experience we had. The staff were so friendly and I have never seen a cleaner campsite bathroom! Everything is quiet and clean and there are so many sites to choose from. The lake is very low but it’s the perfect temperature to just chill in and just .5 miles to drive to. Even my toddler just jumped right in with no hesitation that’s how awesome the lake was. The sites had everything you needed and everything is also an easy walking distance. Also the fellow campers we met there were SO nice and kind to us. Stars were unbelievable.

Group Site A was not the most excellent spot to bring a large group as the tents can be only placed near the built-in canopy. However, the staff there was fantastic.

I loved this campground for couple of reasons - spacious campsites ( few are quite big) and facilities. I was impressed when I saw a volley ball court in the campground. The lake water level is low and a guy comes over weekend with few kayaking rentals which can be a good family water activity.
the downside is that camp host informed us to be aware of active rattle snakes ( we couldn't find any in our 2 night stay). I liked the campsite 25 more than 27 but both are spacious enough.

This camp site is very clean and well maintained. Park rangers and sheriff are very friendly. The water level of the lake is low, but we still had a lot of fun kayaking there.
