Great time with friends along the Arkansas River! Toad Suck Park has good accommodations, clean newly built bathrooms and great camping sites.

We enjoyed our stay at Toad Suck very much!! Lovely grounds, friendly campers and Coy and Marge, two of the volunteers there, were terrific. They pointed out several things at the campground and in the area, that we would have missed without their help. We're from Washington State and hope to come back again:)

Great from the moment we checked in at the office with the very warm welcome from the woman from Iowa to the time we drove away. Very clean sites and facilities. Quiet and great view of the water and Dam. The Corp of Engineers should be proud of their work as well as those that continue to maintain this beautiful camping area. More than Glad to post a review.

Excellent place to stop. C loop seems to be the best loop but we stayed in D and it was okay as well. Really cool to see the dam up close. Hosts were really friendly. Will definitely stay here again!

We love this park! The attendants are very friendly and helpful! When we checked in they told us about a local food truck that is at the top of the hill serving catfish and chicken. What a treat! The bathhouses are always very clean and well maintained! It’s close to Conway if you need to run into town! Most spots are very level with nice tables. Can’t go wrong with this park!

This was our second RV trip. Many lessens learned on this trip. It was wonderful other than getting there unexpectedly at dark 30 & not knowing the park, the first night was a little nerve racking. With our 38 ft motor home needing a 50 amp plug in site & only having a 30 & a 120 amp therefore, our heat didn’t work. At 30 degrees outside, we were so glad the dogs were with us to help keep warm. At the time, we had not learned how to use the on board LP system to turn over to its system. My son lived very close so he came to help us work that out the next day. The second night, we were in a different site which had the 50 amp plug outlet to run everything needed.
The ranger on duty was very nice & helpful. We really enjoyed visiting with him. The park was so much more alive with RV campers & some tents here & there than the first trip we had taken. The bathrooms were clean & easy to find. Not far from our site the lock & dam stood but even so it was not loud but busy even in November. There were a few fisherman out enjoying the autumn sun through the beautiful color changing trees leaves in the nice breeze.
We plan to go back in the spring of 2022. Thank you Toad Suck for the wonderful visit.

From Conway, Arkansas, travel west for 7 miles on SR-60 and follow signs into the campground.
From Initerstate 40 take exit 129B and head South on Dave Ward Drive/Hwy 286. Continue for 7.5 miles until you reach a stop sign. Turn left and continue over the bridge. Immediately after the bridge (and right beore the Toad Suck One Stop) take a hard right and follow the gravel road to the right to get to the main gate. You will drive under the bridge and the gate is on the left.
The campground is accessible from Interstate 40 via exit 129B, and is located approximately 7 miles from State Route 60.

General
- ALL Campsites require a reservation prior to being occupied. There are no first come, first serve or walk-up sites available.
- NOTICE: Camping at one or more campsites at any one water resource project for a period longer than 14 days during any 30-consecutive-day period is prohibited without the written permission of the District Commander. CFR 327.7 (b)
- NOTE: A special event application is required for any event including, but not limited to one or more of the following: 1. An entry, spectator, or participating fee is charged 2. If you have an anticipated attendance of 100 or more persons 3. An extraordinary impact on project resources is expected 4. Corps personnel provide additional patrols, surveillance, refuse collection, and/or crowd control 5. Event involves the use of concession tents and/or vendors 6. Event involves Bounce Houses/Bump N Jump Inflatables 7. Fishing Tournament 8. Music Festival: In addition to the special event application, you may be asked to submit the following information before approval can be granted: (1) proof of liability insurance; (2) event details & description; (3) schedule of events; (4) parking plans.PROHIBITED: Please note that livestock, exotic animals, explosives, loaded projectile firing devices, pinatas, water balloons, and commercial activities are prohibited on project lands unless written permission has been received from the District Commander. If commercial tents are permitted for your special event, please note that driving tent stakes into concrete or asphalt on project lands is prohibited. PROHIBITED: Please note that livestock, exotic animals, explosives, loaded projectile firing devices, pinatas, water balloons, and commercial activities are prohibited on project lands unless written permission has been received from the District Commander. If commercial tents are permitted for your special event, please note that driving tent stakes into concrete or asphalt on project lands is prohibited. Dispose of unwanted bait, worms, fish parts, or other organisms into the trash and not into the environment.
