Most sites offer a peaceful experience in a forested setting, with some campers noting the convenience of nearby water and trash disposal. However, a few reviews mention issues with bathroom cleanliness and site privacy, as well as occasional miscommunication regarding reservations. Overall, it remains a favorite destination for many campers.

We stayed in site 33 with a 30ft 5th wheel. Please note that this is PARALLEL parking spot where you're parked on the side of the/kind of in the road where other campers are driving thru. When you look at the satellite image of the camp spot, it appears you have a nice shoulder to pull into, but there are several sturdy concrete bollards preventing parking in the campsite, so you just park in the road. The camp area is spacious and if you're tent camping, this site is huge and great for cornhole and large groups. Space 33 has little to no shade until late afternoon and full sun in the am (plan to wake up with the sun). If you're RV camping, like us, please note that your picnic tables, fire ring, etc are about 70 feet away from your camper with a few wooden stairs to get there. The spot is sloped, hard to level a 40ft rig in this spot. The campground overall is beautiful, spacious & spread-out camps, and has nice rolling hills roads, which made skateboarding & bicycling super fun. It's an easy drive from the valley, there's nearby trails, gold panning, Lynx Lake, and Costco! I've learned a lot on this trip and now I know to look for (and avoid) reserving parallel street parking spots. Happy camping, y'all!

It was quite, cozy, beautiful. The AMAZING hiking trails that go on forever and the lake to fish at. It's a gem of a place. Absolutely going back

Great site for privacy! Inconvenient to car... up and down steps. This site has three levels. Very nice, quiet site in probably the quietest part of this campground. Lots of steps tho, things to consider when you have to carry a cooler back and forth.

Views of the Halloween Blue moon were great at hilltop. Close to town but far enough from the road so no noise at night. Certain lots the parking is far from the sleeping pads/table so we had to get an extension cord for things. Lynx lake right next door and it was a beautiful weekend

The camp hosts, Warren and his wife, are outstanding!
I don’t like the on-line registration method. All the campsites are booked solid, even when there are many open campsites.

We have been to Lynx campground and HillTop a few times now. We really like the shorter commute from the Phoenix area to sites about 7,000 feet elevation. Both campgrounds are very very nice, clean and well kept. All the hosts, Patric, Warren and Don were always friendly, and very helpful. We enjoyed the local trails and visits to Lynx lake. We've already recommended both campgrounds to family and friends and will continue to do so...
