Policies & Rules

Arrival & departure

  • All campers and visitors must register at the office upon arrival; guests must be 18 or older unless with a parent or guardian, and parking passes need to be displayed.

Vehicles & parking

  • Visitors must register and pay fees upon arrival; they must leave by office closing time, and there are limits on adults and vehicles per campsite.
  • Golf carts and ATVs require insurance and must be driven by licensed adults; use is restricted after hours and limited to specific routes.

Safety & rules

  • No visitors are allowed on holiday weekends due to maximum capacity restrictions.
  • The speed limit is 5 MPH throughout the campground for safety reasons.
  • Bicycles must have a light when riding after dark, and they are not allowed on sidewalks.
  • The playground and lakefront areas are closed after dark.
  • Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; noise must be kept to a minimum during this time.
  • Children must be at their campsites by dark unless with a parent; parents are responsible for their children at all times.
  • Fireworks and firearms are prohibited; violations may lead to eviction without a refund.
  • Trash must be disposed of in provided dumpsters; campers should ensure their area is clean.
  • A 911 emergency phone is available near the pool area.
  • In case of storms, use the concrete restroom shower buildings for shelter; a tornado warning siren is present in Montello.
  • Campground is not responsible for personal injuries or property loss; guests should take precautions, and parents are responsible for their children and pets.
  • Compliance with campground policies is required; noncompliance may result in eviction.

Site capacity

  • Only one camping unit is allowed per campsite.
  • Each campsite is provided with one picnic table; do not take tables from other sites.

Pets

  • Each campsite can have up to 2 friendly pets; they must be leashed and controlled, and certain breeds are prohibited.

Utilities

  • Please keep restrooms clean; no washing dishes in sinks and no smoking or pets allowed.
  • Electric vehicle charging is not allowed at non-metered sites or cabins.

Amenities

  • The pool is open daily at 10:00 a.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day; food and drinks have restrictions, and children under 14 must be supervised.

Fires & fuel

  • Campfires are allowed in designated rings only; they must be a reasonable size and never left unattended.
  • No carry-in firewood is allowed; it can be purchased on-site to protect local trees.
