Whispering Elms Motel & RV Park

I have the happy misfortune to spend a week here in a RV site after my car broke down. My intention was to visit the Great Basin National Park (which I did). The staff was very helpful, hooking me up with a mechanic and extending my stay. The sites are gravel and some need leveling (I stayed in 3 spots total). There is a great bar that opens at 4 p.m. and the 427 Grill Food Truck opens Thursday through Sunday at this time of year. They have a clean laundry and shower facilities which I used. Highly recommended for a stay in the magnificent area.

Hospitality is absolutely amazing here , helped us get settled and was able to make our stay very enjoyable. Very close to everything you’d want to see at the Great Basin and Lehman Caves. Beautiful local trails waiting to be explored with tons of wildlife

We had to make our trip to Baker very early in the day due to the incredibly high winds in the area this week (we were towing). The on duty staff were amazing and very accommodating. The RV park was very quiet, within walking distance to everything in town (487 Grill, bar, cafe/general store, GBNP headquarters). We didn't have quarters but the on duty staff were able to get us enough to take care of our laundry. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely stay again!

I was initially a little skeptical to stay at a motel in such a tiny town - but was convinced by the close proximity to Great Basin. I arrived to check in and found the camp hosts to be super friendly and welcoming. I grabbed a burger at the small food truck outside, and headed to my room. I found the room to be recently updated and in great shape. The bed was comfy and the room very clean. I’d certainly stay here again if I’m back in the area.

The location is only two turns away from the national park. The rooms are renovated. The area is extremely quiet. There’s very few food options and they have two of them there. The hosts are absolutely lovely and will help out in any way possible. I would come back and stay here anytime. They serve alcohol from 4-8pm. You will get a chance to meet the locals. Everyone was absolutely lovely.
