Drive-in tent-only campsiteThe Sunnyhill Restoration Area features a primitive tent-only campsite, picnic areas, boat launches and an observation platform.The reservation-only campsite is located in a mature hardwood hammock approximately 0.8 mile from the Oak Cove Trailhead parking area on 182nd Avenue Road, Ocklawaha.This campsite is equipped with a fire ring, picnic table, benches, pavilion and pitcher pump. There are no restroom facilities.Reservations are required at least 48 hours ahead and may be made up to 90 days in advance.Vehicle make, model and license plate number of all vehicles accessing the campsite are required when making a reservation. A valid vehicle pass allows vehicle access to and from the reservable campsite only. Visitors may not drive anywhere else on the property for any reason.Recreational vehicles (RVs), campers, ATVs, UTVs and dirt bikes are prohibited on all District lands. In addition to primitive tent camping, other recreational opportunities at Sunnyhill include hiking, horseback riding, bicycling, wildlife viewing and picnicking. Bank fishing is allowed on the canal at the western edge of the property.
