Hike-in / boat-in tent-only campsiteCovering more than 10,500 acres, the J.P. Hall Bayard Point Conservation Area protects 7 miles of the St. Johns River and offers more than 15 miles of blazed trails and three reservation-only campsites. Primitive Campsite 3 at Davis Landing is located directly on the St. Johns River with stunning views of the cypress trees that flank the riverbank. This hike-in/boat-in campsite and the trail leading to it can be wet or seasonally flooded. There is no boat launch on the property, but the campsite can be accessed by boat or canoe/kayak.The campsite has a fire ring with grill and picnic table. There is no water source or shelter. Reservations are required at least 48 hours in advance and may be made up to 90 days in advance. Motorized vehicles, including RVs, motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, dirt bikes and passenger vehicles, are prohibited at this campsite.Maximum occupancy at this tent-only campsite is six people. Maximum length of stay is 7 days. J.P. Hall Bayard Point Conservation is a Wildlife Management Area (WMA) and allows seasonal hunting. During hunt seasons, only permitted hunters are authorized to camp at this property. To check hunt dates and camping requirements during hunt seasons, visit myfwc.com/recreation/notices/.Check-in: No earlier than 1 p.m. Check-out: No later than 11 a.m. Maximum length of stay: 7 consecutive days Maximum occupancy: Six people and up to two pets (leashed and controlled at all times)
